Pilar Policano receives Nicola Bergonzi on loan

Pilar Policano

Rare Violins of New York and the Ryuji Ueno Foundation, Inc. are pleased to place a fine Nicola Bergonzi violin, made in Cremona around 1780–85, with Argentinian violinist Pilar Policano as part of the In Consortium program. The violin is paired with a Dominique Peccatte bow.

Born in Buenos Aires in 2007, Pilar began violin studies at age six and continues her development in Vienna under the guidance of Boris Kuschnir. She has earned top honors in international competitions including the Arthur-Waser Award 2025 and the Grand Prix of the V Yankelevitch International Violin Competition. Audiences and critics alike have responded to her performances in prominent halls such as KKL Luzern, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires and Victoria Hall Geneva, and she has appeared as soloist with orchestras across Europe and the Americas.
