Rare Violins of New York and the Ryuji Ueno Foundation, Inc. are pleased to place the c.1722 Antonio Stradivari “Lord Wandsworth” violin with American violinist Hina Khuong-Huu through In Consortium.
Hina Khuong-Huu is a first-prize winner of the 2023 Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition and is rapidly establishing herself as a soloist and chamber musician of international acclaim. She has appeared in recital and with orchestras across the United States and Europe, including performances at the Kennedy Center, and has collaborated with artists such as violinist Jennifer Koh and Maxim Vengerov. Recognized as a “VC Artist” by the Violin Channel, she regularly appears with the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players and has been featured on NPR’s From the Top radio program. Hina studies in a dual degree program at The Juilliard School and Columbia University with Midori Goto and Itzhak Perlman.
This In Consortium placement pairs meticulous instrument stewardship with active performance use, ensuring that the “Lord Wandsworth” continues to be heard in concert halls and recordings while supporting Hina’s artistic development. Through this collaboration, the program promotes lasting connections between rare instruments, dedicated benefactors, and the next generation of leading musicians.
